Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Students in the Certified Nursing Assistant program gain hands-on experience in clinical settings, working directly with residents in local long-term care facilities. Throughout the program, they explore various healthcare careers and learn essential medical terminology necessary for success in healthcare professions. Upon completing this two-year program, students will fulfill the requirements to take the CNA certification exam.

PEAK's Practical Nursing program offers students a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience. In this competitive program, accepted students learn in a state-of-the-art facility and work directly with clients at local healthcare facilities. The curriculum, approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, equips students with the training necessary to qualify for the Practical Nurse licensure exam (NCLEX-PN).

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) program provides a comprehensive introduction to healthcare careers, medical terminology, and hands-on experience in clinical settings. Students learn essential skills to provide personalized care to patients while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
This one-year program blends classroom learning with clinical practice and prepares students. After completing the program, students are eligible to take the Patient Care Technician Certification exam through the NCCT.
This program is open only to Fort Smith Public Schools seniors.
